Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) refers to the evolution of aviation and transportation through the development of vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, often referred to as flying cars. AAM envisions a future where these innovative aircrafts provide efficient and rapid transportation solutions to address urban congestion and provide point-to-point transportation solutions for short to medium distances. Unlike traditional aircraft that require runways, AAM vehicles can take off and land vertically, eliminating the need for long runaways and enabling them to operate in densely populated areas. This webinar will introduce the AAMs being developed in Val d’Oise (Paris Region), France and Osaka, Japan targetting the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 2025 Kansai-Osaka Expo, respectively. The opportunities of the Paris Olympics and the Kansai Expo for showcasing of innovation will be also presented.
At the end, there will be a brief review of the activities of IURC Region to Region Innovation cooperation in 2022 and 2023.
Note: Simultaneous interpretation service for English and Japanese is available.
