On Thursday, December 9, 2021, in partnership with the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the first time, the conference “The Economist: The World in 2022” will be held in Sarajevo, bringing together leading economic and financial experts, business people and top public officials, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps in BiH. The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be the official partner of the conference, and the governor of the institution will officially open the event.
The conference aims at summarizing the current year and covering the topics related to the economic and political environment of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as important open questions about the development of the country in the coming year. Through constructive dialogue and analysis, representatives of economic institutions, authorities, diplomatic and business communities will provide assessments of the economic environment, investment climate, implementation of reforms and legislation, as well as measures that Bosnia and Herzegovina has to implement.
The program of the conference will be divided into three panels. During panel discussions, prominent representatives of the economic, business and diplomatic community will try to answer questions about the challenges that await us in 2022, the recovery of the Bosnian and global economy from the effects of the and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s economic prospects. In particular, the EU4Trade project will be leading Panel no.2 entitled “Increasing the international and regional volume of BiH trade”.
