We would like to inform you that EPRD was awarded its first project for the European Investment Bank. The European Investment Bank was created by the Treaty of Rome in 1958 as the long-term lending bank of the European Union.
The task of the Bank is to contribute towards the integration, balanced development and economic and social cohesion of the EU Member States.
The project “Support to JASPERS to review EIS in Poland” concerns the assessment of soundness of the technical and procedural aspects of the Environmental Impact Assessments carried out and the implementation of Habitat Directive, if applicable, for rail and roads projects in Poland that are potentially eligible for financial support from Structural Funds.
The project starts in June and its implementation is envisaged until October 2008. We hope that this project will contribute to further cooperation between EIB and EPRD in that type of assignments.
