EPRD carries on the cooperation with European Investment Bank

After completion of the project “Support to JASPERS to review EIS in Poland” in which we were responsible for assessing the soundness of the technical and procedural aspects of the EIAs carried out in 17 projects in the transport and energy sectors, this time EPRD received an information that we were awarded the project “Support to Jaspers to review EIS in Romania – transport sector”.

During implementation of this more than year-long project (05/2009 – 06/2010) EPRD will assess the completeness and quality of EIAs as well as implementation of the Habitat and Birds Directive in the road and rail transport projects which are potentially eligible for financial support from structural funds.

European Investment Bank was created by the Treaty of Rome in 1958 as the long-term lending bank of the European Union.

The task of the Bank is to contribute towards the integration, balanced development and economic and social cohesion of the EU Member States.
