Świętokrzyska Group of International Advisory

Adam Jarubas, The Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voievodship and Tadeusz Pęczek, the President of the Board of EPRD signed on 3 June 2014, a Cooperation Agreement for the benefit of obtaining funds and participating in international projects. “The memorandum is a pioneering one, so far we have not had an opportunity to sign such a document. I am sure that the cooperation will enable us to offer our experience to other entities and will be also profitable for the świętokrzyskie community” – said Adam Jarubas.

This unique public-private partnership is based on similar experiences of European Union Member States, such Germany, France or Sweden. Thanks to the Cooperation Agreement concluded today  the Marshal’s Office of the Świętokrzyskie Voievodship as well as associate institutions: the Voivodeship Labour Office, the Świętokrzyskie Offce for Regional Development, the Teacher In-service Training Centre, the Regional Research and Technology Centre, the Świętokrzyskie Roads Authority will be sharing their experience and know-how, through delegating their in-house experts to provide technical assistance to peer institutions in accession and developing countries.

The signee of the memorandum is EPRD Office for Economic Policy and Regional Development. “We are a consulting group well known on the international market. Our clients are the European Commission, the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and many other donor institutions that support developing countries. We can say that EPRD assists countries that are on the similar level of development as Poland was before the year 2004 – said Tadeusz Pęczek, the President of the Board of EPRD – and as such the assistance requires expertise. The Świętokrzyskie Voievodship has rich and valuable resources of institutional know-how, expert personnel and reference projects and programmes.”

“Our focus will be on identifying cooperation areas in  programmes, tenders and grant schemes launched by the European Union, the World Bank and the European Investment Bank. Synergies and common competences will be sought in the following thematic areas: education, labour market, agriculture, teacher training and transport” – said Jan Maćkowiak, member of the Świętokrzyskie Voievodship Government.

The first measurable cooperation results are expected in the forthcoming years, although EPRD and one of the organisational units of the Marshal’s Office of the Świętokrzyskie Voievodship – the Świętokrzyskie Office for Regional Development – have already succeeded in being visible on the international consulting market.
