EPRD supports Macedonian lifelong learning system

We are pleased to inform you that EPRD as a partner of international consortium has been awarded a project “Technical Assistance to the Ministry of Education and Science on Life Long Learning” in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.The project consists of five inter-related components which aim at development of a modern lifelong learning system, modernisation of training providers and courses and increasing public awareness of the need for continuous learning. The envisaged activities encompass conducting national survey on adult learning courses, providers, qualifications/levels, assistance in formulating and implementing adult learning policy and strategy, support in introducing the process of registration and accreditation of training providers and courses as well designing a pilot “start qualification” programme for adults. The promotion campaign will contribute to raising awareness of the public about the importance of learning, learning opportunities and generate interest in the basic skills course among low-skilled adults.

The implementation of the project will last 24 months. The total value of the contract is 1,268,250 EUR.
