EPRD launches trainings in Bosnia and Herzegovina for preparation of EU grant applications

European Union is supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina through a large number of programmes and grant schemes in the last two decades. Bosnia and Herzegovina is currently a beneficiary of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) fund, which has replaced previous grant schemes provided through PHARE and CARDS EU assistance programmes.

With the advancement of Bosnia and Herzegovina EU accession process, the country will gain access to a number of other EU education, structural reforms, infrastructural investment and other grant funds. One of the necessary pre-conditions for potential beneficiaries of these funds is the preparation of grant applications for potential projects.

Recognizing the need for enhancing capacities for grant application proposal preparation, the EU funded Human Resource Development project will organize training for preparation of EU grant applications. The training will be organized for employees of the private and public schools and universities or school networks, private and public educational and research institutions, chambers of commerce, employment offices and non-governmental organizations active in education and human resource development. Two-day trainings will be organized in Banja Luka, Mostar and Sarajevo in August 2012.

The purpose of the training is to familiarize the participants with the process of preparation of grant applications in accordance with Practical Guide to Contract Procedures for European Commission External Actions (PRAG) methodology. In a two-day training, participants will be informed about all necessary aspects of application preparation, including practical work on potential project ideas.
