The closing Conference of “Implementation of new curricula” project, implemented by the consortium led by EPRD, took place on December 21st in Zagreb.
More than one hundred people attended, including representatives of the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education, the European Union Delegation to Croatia, the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports and a number of schools directly involved in the project activities.
Mr. Ivan Sutalo, who spoke on behalf of the Main Project Partner, the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education, introduced the various aspects of vocational education modernization in Croatia since the beginning of the EU accession process.
Mr. Karol Rudny, the EPRD representative at the conference, presented the innovation in the vocational education and training in the context of the European policy framework. Next, Mr. Ronnie Harkin, the Team Leader, together with Ms. Andreja Tonc, talked about the scope of activities carried out throughout the project’s two components.
The last part of the Conference was dedicated to the innovative achievements in Croatian VET schools. The principals of three of them: Mr. Vlado Prskalo, Ms. Marica Berdik, Ms. Katica Kalogjera Novak, have shared with the audience their experiences in the field of innovation in the vocational education sector in their respective schools.
We truly believe that the activities carried out during the implementation of this project, the number of participants involved and the experience and knowledge shared, together with tailor-made trainings on the principles, mechanisms, regulations and procedures related to grant applications conducted within the project , will bear fruit, and their effects will contribute to many interesting and innovative initiatives in the field of VET education.
