This project will lead to the development of an International Self-Assessment Tool for CoVEs (ISATCOVE), which allows them to evaluate their vocational excellence performance through 577 indicators and 23 criteria, grouped into three dimensions (Teaching and Learning, Partnership and Collaboration, Governance and Funding). The ISATCOVE is a tool aimed at CoVEs and VET providers who want to become CoVEs in a holistic and structured way. It embraces a multi-dimensional approach through the VET provision from teaching and learning, partnership and collaboration, governance and funding. ISATCOVE provides a shared understanding of the scope, performance level and capacity of vocational excellence that will help CoVEs develop and collaborate. Schools can select indicators most relevant to their specific goals and profile. ISATCOVE facilitates the engagement of staff and relevant VET stakeholders in the assessment process, as well as target-setting and progress tracking. The tool allows schools to compare with each other share lessons learnt and share best practices. In 2023, a pilot for ISATCOVE was implemented, including coaching sessions on the framework and the IT tool designed to implement the self-assessment.
