As part of the official visit to Japan of the Commissioner for the Internal Market, Thierry Breton, the Delegation of the European Union to Japan is organising a high-level Chips and Skills Roundtable, that will take place on Monday 3rd July 2023 (09:30-11:30) at the premises of the Delegation of the European Union to Japan. The aim of the event is to bring together stakeholders from the government, industry, and academia, from the EU and Japan to initiate a dialogue about concrete actions to boost the cooperation and development of skills in the area of semiconductors.

The Roundtable will kick-start a process that will contribute to the reinforcement of learning, sharing of knowledge, and in-depth exchange of respective approaches and related skills programmes, and concrete proposals for joint initiatives in line with the objectives of the EU – Japan Digital Partnership.
