ICS Cybersecurity Week
for the Indo-Pacific Region

About the Event
This is to notify you of an opportunity to join a weeklong training program on industrial control system (ICS) cybersecurity.
The program, which will take place in Tokyo, aims to improve ICS cybersecurity for critical infrastructure providers, manufacturers, and others in the Indo-Pacific region.
The one-week training program for the Indo-Pacific region is held annually by the governments of Japan, the U.S., and the EU. It has been held six times since 2018.
The training will include hands-on exercises using special facilities in Japan, lectures by subject matter experts from Japan, the US, and the EU, and opportunities for networking among participants.
The details of the training are as follows:
Date: 12th-15th November 2024
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Hosts: Japan (METI, IPA Industrial Cybersecurity Center), the United States (DHS/CISA, DOS),
the European Union (EEAS, DG CONNECT, ENISA)
Participants: Critical infrastructure providers, manufacturers, etc. from ASEAN member states, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Taiwan
Participant Requirements (Basic)
Between 20-50 years of age
Can participate in English discussions (Intermediate and above)
In good health and can participate in the four-day program in full
Can pay for travel/stay fees as a general rule (no participation fee required)
Participant Requirements (Technical)
Has at least one year of experience in Operational Technology (OT) or Information Technology (IT) systems
Has skillsets equivalent to CompTIA Security+, ITPEC Exam IP Level or equivalent. (certification not required)
Engaged in OT system related work, especially those related to the following:
Operation and security of process control networks and IT
Operation or management of Critical Infrastructure (CI) assets and facilities
CI component and software developers
If you are interested in participating please complete the online application form below of your interest no later than July 19th, 2024 JST.
If you would like to nominate staff, please ask him/her to apply and indicate you as reference.
All candidates will be evaluated by the organising committee, and if successful will be notified by July 31st, 2024 JST.
