In September 2007, EPRD has been awarded two projects for The European Commission’s Task Force Turkish Cypriot Community (within DG ELARG). The general objective of these projects is the support in preparation of terms of references, tendering and independent assessment of tenders organised by The European Commission in Northern (Turkish) part of Cyprus.

The thematic scope of the work to be done concerns:

1. Agriculture and rural development (including development planning and capacity building, irrigation and crop husbandry, animal husbandry, animal health and veterinary as well as organic farming)

2. Energy, water, telecommunication and solid waste sector



The total value of both contracts amounts to 331.260 € and their execution is foreseen till May/June 2008.
