On September 21, 2020, EPRD, commissioned by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, started to verify the sustainability of projects implemented under the Operational Programme “Development of Eastern Poland 2007-2013”, action V.2 Cycle routes – component construction of cycle routes.
The following five (5) projects will be audited:
- 05.02.00-28-001/12 – Cycle routes in Eastern Poland – Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodeship. Beneficiary: Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodeship. Project value 83 467 527,74 PLN;
- 05.02.00-20-005/12 – Cycle routes in Eastern Poland – Podlaskie voivodeship. Beneficiary: Podlaskie voivodeship. Project value 39 958 758,62 PLN;
- 05.02.00-06-002/12 – Cycle routes in Eastern Poland – Lubelskie voivodeship. Beneficiary: Lubelskie voivodeship. Project value 54 065 833,61 PLN;
- 05.02.00-18-004/12 – Cycle routes in Eastern Poland – Podkarpackie voivodeship. Beneficiary: Podkarpackie voivodeship. Project value 70 391 621,50 PLN;
- 05.02.00-26-003/12 – Cycle routes in Eastern Poland –Świętokrzyskie voivodeship. Beneficiary: Świętokrzyskie voivodeship. Project value 23 526 506,91 PLN;
The audits will concern infrastructure elements created under the above-mentioned projects, including: bicycle paths, bridges, footbridges, reconstructed public roads, marking of a supra-regional continuous cycle route as well as Cyclist Service Areas. In total, over 2000 km of routes belonging to the “Green Velo” trail will be examined.
Sustainability controls consist in checking the project on-the-spot and in verifying the project documentation at the headquarters of the Project Beneficiary or at other place of storing documentation indicated by the Project Beneficiary. Apart from individual Beneficiaries, about 200 other entities were involved in the implementation of the projects.
