Study of pre conditions and direction policies for spatial management for the gmina of Słupia Jędrzejowska

In pursuance of the requirements determined by the act dated on 7 July 1994 about the spatial planning, the main objective of the elaboration of conditions and directions of the gmina’s spatial planning in the study is to define the spatial policy of the gmina. It is the answer to the question referring to the goals and measures of spatial management of the gmina in the long term. The gmina of Słupia Jędrzejowska according to the new administrative division is a part of świętokrzyskie voivodship and is situated in the south-north part of the voivodship, bordering on katowickie and częstochowskie voivodships. The gmina of Słupia belongs to jędrzejowski poviat. The jędrzejowksi poviat is situated about 60 km south-east of Kielce. The length of the gmina from the south-west to north-east is about 21 km, but it is 4 – 9 km wide on the north-west to south-east axis. According to the physical division of the Voivodoship elaborated by J. Kondracki the gmina is situated in the area of two mezoregions: Niecka Włoszczowska and Jędrzejowski Plateau. The river Pilica is a border between these two mezoregions. The territory of the gmina is the upland. The land of the gmina is slightly falling in the north-east direction. The area of the gmina amounts to c.a. 10 788 km2. The gmina possesses rural characteristics and its population amounts to c.a. 5 085 habitants.
