The overall objective of the SURUDEC is to reduce poverty in rural communities in the Eastern Cape through the development and implementation of community development plans. The specific objective of the technical expertise is to assist in the implementation of the activities of the SURUDEC. Firstly, it must establish a programme financial management framework and systems that will support the programme. Secondly, it must assist with implementing the procedures for the competitive grant fund, including the 1st and 2nd Calls for proposals.
