General objective of the project: Prepare, respectively, poultry and egg producers to operate profitable specialised farms oriented towards high-quality poultry production in accordance with the requirements of the European Union. Specific objectives: a) Acquainting the producers of poultry meat and eggs with the respective EU requirements concerning: animal welfare, animal keeping conditions, environmental protection, application of modern feeding techniques, CAP regulations, accounting, capital management, investment and threats related to overly investment, and other issues of relevance to the preparation of poultry preparing farmers for the new requirements related to the accession to the EU. b) Enhancing the professional qualifications of poultry farmers in respect of the application of modern technologies in order to increase labour productivity on their farms and to achieve production quality consistent with the Single Market standards c) Enhancing the awareness of poultry farmers with the respect to sanitary and hygiene requirements in animal production and environmental protection requirements in agriculture in accordance with EU standards d) Enabling poultry farmers to develop skills related to accounting, finance management and modern farm management. e) Disseminating information on EU requirements applicable to farmers specialising in poultry production.
