Foundation of Assistance Programmes for Agriculture
- Ministry of Agriculture and Food Economy - banks that have established Clearing House - Warsaw Board of Trade and other commodity exchanges in Poland - stock broking companies and entitles on the futures market
The basic purposes of the project were: - elaborating overall vision of the Clearing House, together with the proposal of set up documents and internal regulations necessary for efficient House establishing, - training of the basic staff necessary in organising and managing a Clearing House Team of experts has made the identification of the state of hitherto works and the beneficiaries of this project. There have been conducted one-week trainings in Poland and two-weeks trainings in Great Britain. For the needs of trained people, there were prepared wide elaborations and training materials. They concerned both general matters of the futures market and presented the role of particular institutions (stock and commodity exchanges, clearing houses, settling banks, stock broking companies, storehouses and also illustrated mutual connections and correlations and basic operational functions. Moreover, there have been made available detailed descriptions of BOTCC (Board of Trade Clearing Corporation) and LCH (London Clearing House) activities. Trainings participants also had access to full texts of regulations from LCH (The London Clearing House Limited General Regulations and Default Rules). The purpose of trainings in Great Britain was recognising the circle of futures market institutions. There have been established cooperation with all stock and commodity exchanges in London, LCH and also with banks playing clearing and accounting role.
