EPRD will support ETF in the research on the roles of educators that are subject to change due to the new curricula and new pedagogies introduced to better prepare learners for their future lives and jobs in the changing labour market. In particular, the research will contribute to defining the way the roles and subsequently behaviours of educators are changing or need to be changed based on the current understanding of how people learn and in the perspective of lifelong learning. The research will also explore to what extent these changes are reflected in emerging ‘educator’ profiles and qualifications frameworks and will examine how pre-service training, and Continuing Professional Development can best support educators in their transition to new behaviours and roles. The research will be implemented from May till December 2020 and will encompass an initial literature review and subsequently identification and mapping of emerging educator profiles, qualifications and frameworks.
