EPRD set up and ran a demand-driven mechanism for the mobilisation of a set of experts in the field of Decentralization Reforms, Local Governance and Local Development, in order to strengthen the capacity of the EC Delegations’ staff operating in partner countries, to translate the new EU policy framework on decentralization and Local Authorities into consistent EU-supported analytical activities, programs and projects. This mechanism included: - The identification of relevant experts (practitioners). - Provision of support on content and backstopping. - Provision of logistical means to execute the implementation of technical assistance activities.
