The global objective of the evaluation was to review the continued relevance and overall performance of the activities under the Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) Programme. In particular, the task was to evaluate the performance of the projects in relation to the objectives of the Multiannual Indicative Programme (MIP) and the Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace (IcSP) which is one of the key external assistance instruments. As a conclusion robust and useable recommendations on the preferred way forward in terms of possible future areas of support for SALW under the IcSP were provided.
