This project has been prepared in response to URT (United Republic of Tanzania) intention to support the implementation of the MKUKUTA (The National Strategy for Growth and the Reduction of Poverty) and the EMA (The 2004 Environmental Management Act). In particular this includes the need to assess the environment sector of Tanzania and identify priorities of the future activities.
