Preparation of Technical Specifications for Supply of Equipment for Vocational Education and Training (VET) Centres in Armenia

The global objective is to improve performance of Vocational Education and Training system in Armenia through provision of relevant equipment for the selected (maximum 12) VET schools necessary to implement the subjects of strategic value for the region’s development, thus contributing to rehabilitation efforts to be undertaken in the same schools in order for them to become multifunctional regional VET centres. This will contribute to an increase of the quality of VET sector and will bring the structure and context of the VET system in line with labour market skill needs, thus promoting actual employability of active population and businesses competitiveness. Specific objective is to identify relevant equipment for all the selected VET centres (at least 11, maximum 12) that will be used for creating competencies and raising quality of VET provision at the school level and will be purchased under supply contracts using state procurement procedures. Prepare the technical specifications for the above-mentioned equipment in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science (MoES), especially the VET Department, and the Resident TA team embedded in the MoES.
