The main beneficiary of this assignment will be the European Commission Delegation to BiH, the Bosnia and Herzegovina environment and water sector administrations will also benefit from this intervention in formulating a comprehensive Terms of Reference for IPA Assistance. The global objective of this assistance is to contribute to improved application of standards of the European Union in the fields of pollution prevention and control and water resource management. The specific objective of this project will be to support the Delegation of the European Commission to BiH and relevant BiH authorities by preparing Terms of Reference for the projects proposed for IPA funding. The assignment will be comprised of two components that will be implemented concurrently. The experts implementing the two components will be expected to collaborate closely on their assignment as the two thematic fields (pollution prevention and control and water resource management) are interlinked. The sequence of the activities will be determined during the Inception phase in agreement with the EC Task Manager.
