Drafting Terms of Reference for the ”Communication component of the project Women’s and Children Rights” - Ukraine

The global objective of the assignment is to prepare ToR for the communication component of the project “Women and children rights” aimed at overcoming biased presentation of gender roles in mass media of Ukraine as well as providing public information support to other components of the project (the latter including economic empowerment of women and gender rights in employment, juvenile justice, education without bias, support of government and civil society in targeting knowledge, legal and implementation gaps, struggle against domestic violence). The component in question should include inter alia several media campaigns, as well as their performance monitoring and impact screening. It should also comprise coherent public information activities for the other components of the projects. The overall duration of the communication component is envisaged to last 30 to 36 months. Specific objectives include: 1. To make a comprehensive review identifying major gender stereotypes and gender presentation patterns presented in Ukrainian media at national and local level; 2. To review the drafts and/or project proposals of the other components of the project ‘Women and children rights in Ukraine” and prepare recommendations related to their public information and awareness-raising strategies; 3. To prepare ToR for the communication component of the project in full compliance with the project logic and thematic coverage;
