Project is being realised within the frames of the Rural Development Programme (PAOW) – component C, investment in scope of sewage-treatment. Consistent with settlements between Polish Government and World Bank. RDP (PAOW) is directed to the rural areas inhabitants. Grants for infrastructural projects amount up to 30% of the gross value taking into consideration water supplying systems projects, and up to 50% of the value in case of projects. The purpose of sewage treatment plant construction in a Słupia village is the improvement of the natural environment and health conditions in a Strumień Canal basin and the waterside area of the Vistula river. What is more, the purpose of construction is economic activation and the development of the private sector investments in the area of region and creating non-agricultural work places including among others the development of agro-tourism on the areas situated in the neighbourhood of the Vistula River (fishing, canoeing and so on).
