The Kielce Urban and District Highways Office is planning over the coming years to carry out its investment scheme involving modernisation of between ten and twenty stretches of roads grouped into six thoroughfares, This will have a fundamental bearing on the cohesion of the district’s communications network as well as links with national and Voivodship highways and the remaining district and local roads. With the aim of acquiring resources for funding of planned investments from EU pre accession funds the Kielce Highways Office assigned the task to EPRD preparing the necessary documentation and application. The earmarked stretches make up the connections between important gmina and urban centres and likewise with other centres of similar character beyond the “Kielce District” i.e. Chmielnik, Stąporków, Pierzchnica, Daleszyce, Stopnica, Piekoszów, Strawczyn, Mniów, Raków i Bogoria. The realisation of the planned investment was projected to bring about increased accessibility and mobility leading to the intensification of socio-economic development of neighbouring areas, increase in the volume tourist traffic and agro tourism, as well as the improvement of technical parameters and carrying capacity of the roads alongside the overall improvement of safety standards for all road users.
