The project aims to support the European Commission DG International Partnerships (DG INTPA) in strengthening the use of evidence-based research, policy dialogue, and negotiations to achieve the EU's strategic goals in Sub-Saharan Africa. By enhancing regional cooperation in education and skills development, the project focuses on aligning educational systems with labour market demands, improving youth employability, and fostering inclusive learning environments for vulnerable groups. The technical assistance provided will support the identification, formulation, and coordination of EU regional cooperation projects in education and skills development across Sub-Saharan Africa. Additionally, the project will work to strengthen the technical capacities of educational institutions and vocational training systems, addressing the skills mismatch between supply and market needs, particularly in sectors critical to the green and digital transitions. Moreover, the project will promote regional integration and the harmonisation of educational standards by facilitating cross-border mobility, supporting the implementation of the African Continental Qualification Framework (ACQF), and enhancing quality assurance mechanisms throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
