Economic Activation of Post-industrial Centers – Starachowice and Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski

Entrepreneurs and inhabitants of the region included in the project, investors interested in depositing capital.

Since 2001 Świętokrzyskie Voivodship have been included in PHARE Socio-Economic Cohesion Programme, financing up to 75% qualified costs of the project. In purpose of gaining investment means from PHARE 2003 the cities Starachowice and Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski made a decision that they will apply together. Starachowice Management Board applied for obtaining grants for infrastructure development of the south part of the city and for development of Business Support Centre and Business Incubator. Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski Management Board applied for subvention for investment consisting in reconstruction buildings of previous vocational school complex in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski for needs of Business Development and Vocational Activation Centre. EPRD has prepared complete documentation and application (project fiche) for PHARE Programme, coherent for all above mentioned investments. Project realisation will allow to create conditions for incubation new economic entitles, create new workplaces and wide areas for the development of entrepreneurship, services and housing. Development of sanitary sewage system will cause improvement of inhabitants living standard.
