Development and modernization of the Kielce Airport in Masłów

The purpose of this study was to prepare pre-feasibility materials and conclusions concerning adaptation of the Kielce Airport in Masłów to start up airlines. The scope of planned investment includes among other: • Acquisition of land necessary to carry out the reconstruction of runway consisting on extending a bitumen airstrip about 280 meters to the west and about 120 meters to the east to accomplish overall length of 1,300 meters, • Re-construction of the existing navigation lightening systems to both approach directions, • Installation of radio-navigation assistance appliances, • Construction of the new airport infrastructure objects and modernization of existing ones, • Re-construction of existing power supply and phone lines, • Re-location of the watercourse run in the west part, • Re-location of the province road number 745 on western approach line. This study also presents issues related with macro- and micro-economics conditions of project, long-term development tendencies, regional policy of the local and regional authorities, determination of potential environmental impact and refers to the strategic documents of socio-economic development and spatial development of Gmina, neighboring Kielce city and the region.
