Roma, living in the area of Świętokrzyskie voivodship

In 2000-2003, under the order of British Government (Know How Fund), EPRD realized following programs for Roma minority: 1) Assimilation of Roma in the area of Świętokrzyskie voivodship (2000). Analysis of Roma minority state in the region, forms and possibilities of its organisation, definition of community’s problems. During realisation, many project’s proposals were invented, which would have a chance to be financed under aid funds of EU. 2) Roma’s social map (2001-2002). EPRD took pool amongst Roma , which aimed on acquiring basic demographical data as well as identification of Roma needs and expectations, their socio-economical activities, information about their life-situation. On the basis of such research, the report containing socio-demographical situation of Roma in Świętokrzyskie voivodship was elaborated. 3) Strengthening of Roma’s representation system as well as support of “Solidarność” association in preparation of cohesion in the program of Roma’s community assimilation in Świętokrzyskie voivodship (2001-2002). The main objectives of that project were to prepare Roma’s leaders for performing leadership role in the environment as well as for cooperation with local institutions and organisations 4) Elaboration and implementation of local programs of improvement Roma’s housing conditions. Diagnostic research, concerned Roma’s housing conditions, technical state of dwellings as well as debt level of flat’s owners with regard to media providers
