Reducing plastic waste in Canada – Ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns. The main objective of this project is to strengthen the EU’s leading role in the transition to the plastics of the future and to contribute to more competitive resilient plastics and recycling industries. This action will enable the EU to reach its goals climate commitments and industrial policy objectives, by supporting the international aspects of the EU Plastics Strategy in the Americas Region. My role is to support and coordinate the Team of KEs and NKEs in the conceptualization, development and implementation of the outputs and activities defined in the ToR which are: • Country Status Report • Activity plan • Communication plan • Legislative and technical assistance to national and local authorities • Communication campaigns • Preparation and elaboration of a database of EU best practices • Conceptualization and implementation of, at least, 2 pilot projects • Organization of 1 week-long study visit to the EU for officials The project as implemented from 01/2020 to 02/2023
