In pursuance of the requirements determined by the act dated on 7 July 1994 about the spatial planning, the main objective of the elaboration of conditions and directions of spatial planning in the study is to define the spatial policy of the gmina . It is the answer to the question which relates to aims and measures of spatial management of the gmina in the long term. Gmina Pałecznica belongs to the poviat proszowicki in the małopolskie Voivodship. The residence of the gmina is situated 43 km north of Kraków . The length of the gmina is about 10 km on the north-south side, but on the north-south it is about 6 km wide. Administratively it is bordering on the following gminas: from the north on the gmina of Racławice (małopolskie Voivodoship), and Skalbmierz (świętokrzyskie Voivodoship), from the east on the gmina of Kazimierza Wielka (świętokrzyskie Voivodoship), from the south on the gmina of Proszowice (małopolskie Voivodoship), from the west on the gmina of Radziemice (małopolskie voivodoship). Communication system of the gmina composes of the gmina’s and poviat’s roads. There aren’t any communication routes counted as country and international road category The main communication route of the gmina is poviat’s road no 15768 (Rosiejów-to- Proszowice). Area of the gmina of Pałecznica amounts to about 48 km2. The residence of the gmina’s Pałecznica authorities is located in Pałecznica. Administration unit of the gmina of Pałecznica is composed of 14 rural communities. Population of the gmina is 3685 of inhabitants and average population density is about 85 per km2.
