Study of pre conditions and direction policies for spatial management for the gmina of Szerzyny

In pursuance of the requirements determined by the Act dated on 7 July 1994 about the spatial planning, the main objective of the elaboration of conditions and directions of spatial planning in the study is to define the spatial policy of the gmina in the long term. The gmina of Szerzyny is situated in the area of podkarpackie voivodoship (until 1 January 1999 it belonged to tarnowskie voivodoship) and poviat Jasielski. The residence of the gmina’s authorities is located 82 km south-west of Rzeszów (the capital of Podkarpackie voivodoship) and 22,6 km north-west of the residence of the poviat’s authorities. The gmina has an elongated shape and along the east-west side is about 15 km long and along the north-south side is about 4-8 km long. The whole area of the gmina has about 82 km2 and the number of inhabitants reaches 8 500 people. There are no national roads running through the gmina’s territory. The residence of the authorities of the gmina is located about 26,4 km from the international road no 4. The gmina of Szerzyny is divided into 5 rural communities: Szerzyny, Ołpiny, Czermna, Żurowa, Sworzowa.
