The project was prepared in relation of co-financing in the framework of Integrated Operational Programme of regional Development (ZPORR), Priority 1 – Development and modernisation of infrastructure for strengthening competitiveness of regions (Activity 1.1 “Development and modernisation of regional transport infrastructure”, Sub-activity 1.1.1 “ Road infrastructure”) aiming at improving accessibility of communication in particular regions. The project involved reconstruction of the following streets: Grzybowa, Graniczna and Kraszewskiego in Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski. The total length of the reconstructed streets amounted to 1,95 km. The main objective of the project was redirecting the communication flow from the city centre and the street network stemming from it, through reconstruction of above-mentioned streets. The specific goals of the project are the following: − creation of favourable conditions for entrepreneurship development through creation of 31 work places and 10 economic entities − improvement of communication safety thanks to decreasing the number of accidents by 15 percent − improvement of communication conditions for existing economic entities − shortening the time of passengers’ travels − shortening the time of professional drivers’ travels − decreasing the costs of vehicles’ exploitation − decreasing the costs of exhaust fumes emission − construction of parking lots − improvement of accessibility of communication for surrounding areas
