The overall objectives of Environment Operational Programme (EOP) are (a) to improve environmental protection, (b) to improve living standards for the population (c) to improve access to drinking water, wastewater treatment and integrated solid waste services (d) to strengthen capacity and governance. Implementation of this EOP will also stimulate economic activities in the regions and promote new employment opportunities like recycling, innovative energy production, tourism and recreation. In order to achieve these goals, the EOP funds focus on improving and developing basic environmental infrastructure especially for water, wastewater and solid waste management The global objective of this project is to ensure proper and timely implementation of the operations covered under EOP. Specific Objectives: - To ensure tender procedures’ compliance with PRAG tendering procedures and FIDIC contract conditions and other established rules of the Decentralised Implementation System (DIS) in Turkey. - To provide support to the EC in the assessment and appraisal of environmental investment project applications to be funded under IPA.
