Study to identify support to Nigerian Electoral Cycle

The current EU/ Federal Government of Nigeria Country Strategy Paper (CSP)(2008-2013) and the National Indicative Programme (NIP) has, consistent with EU policy placed considerable importance on support to the electoral process in the context of deepening and entrenching democratic governance in Nigeria. The support foreseen under the CSP targets the 2011-2015 electoral cycle. To assess whether and how funding support should be provided in the 2011-2015 electoral cycle to electoral stakeholders including the EMB, CSOs, political parties, media, security agencies, legislature and gender. Produce a draft project identification fiche for support to the Nigerian electoral cycle 2011-2015. Conduct a detailed analytic study of the electoral environment. The study will map out potential activities to be funded including the funding strategy to be adopted.
