Project description:

The Delegation of the European Commission in the Republic of Croatia is enforcing the ex-ante control of IPA tendering and contracting procedures (performed by national authorities in Croatia through Decentralised Management System - DIS). The aim of this intervention is to provide the Delegation with technical expertise for the technical checking of the tender dossiers, evaluation of bids, participation at the evaluation committees and monitoring of project implementation. Global objective is to assist the EC Delegation with the work associated with selected projects under IPA Programme – Component III c regional Competitiveness, namely (a) “Biosciences technology commercialisation and incubation centre (BioCenter)", (b) Business – Related Infrastructure Grant scheme and (c) Grant scheme for Science and Innovation Investment Fund. (a) The Bio center project consists of works contract (approximate value 5,6 mil EUR) and the related supervision contract (approx.value 0,4 mil EUR). The subject of works is a building of a biotechnology incubator building, partially housing laboratories and partially offices. The building will be equipped with laboratory and office equipment at a later stage. (b) Business - Related Infrastructure Grant scheme (value 4 million EUR) is targeting the local beneficiaries in lagging behind regions of Croatia in development of business, tourism, culture and sport infrastructure. (c) Grant scheme for Science and Innovation Investment Fund (value 5 million EUR) is targeting the public higher education institutions and public research institutions for projects related to technology transfer, innovation, patenting, etc.
