Technical Assistance to the National Coordinating Unit (TANCU) in Turkmenistan

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen, via the proposed technical assistance cooperation framework and agenda, the relationships between EC/EU and Turkmenistan in order to support the country socio-economic and institutional development in line with EU values. The aim of this assistance is to improve and strengthen the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring capacity of the partner state institutions in relation to EU/EC support within the new EC programme implementation instruments, notable the Development Cooperation Instrument (DCI), providing support to implementation procedures relevant to Turkmenistan. The team of experts will facilitate the improve met of the implementation of ongoing bilateral and regional EC funded projects and programmes through targeted advice, networking, ad-hoc assistance, continuous monitoring, as well as training activities. Through assistance in preparation of the programming documents and support to the National Coordinator, the project will ensure that advice takes into account the priorities and programming of the bilateral donors, the international financial institutions and United Nations agencies and foster synergies with other EC aid programmes, including regional aid coordination bodies.
