Under the intra-ACP envelope of the 10th European Development Fund, 40 M€ are foreseen for activities related to research and science and technologies. This envelope will be evenly split with one part for capacity building in the field of S&T and the other part for research activities. The research activities will be divided in a component that will lead to a call for proposals managed by the African Union Commission and another component specifically focusing on Caribbean and Pacific countries signatories of the Cotonou Agreement. An identification fiche has already been prepared and approved by the AIDCO management defining the thematic areas of the intervention in Africa as follows: - Post-harvest agriculture; - Renewable and sustainable energy; - Water and Sanitation Global objective The Global objective of the assignment is to prepare the implementation of a research programme component for the Caribbean and Pacific countries. Specific objective(s) The specific objectives are the identification and formulation of a proposal for this component, including the preparation of all relevant documents.
