Within the programme Global Executive Programme – the Future of Manufacturing, EPRD Biuro Polityki Gospodarczej i Rozwoju Regionalnego organized a study visit for 25 high-rank officials from middle-income countries belonging to UNIDO.
The purpose of the visit, which took place on 19th October 2016, was the presentation of practical aspects of industrial development and entrepreneurship support in the Świętokrzyski Region. The delegation was welcomed on the hospitable Świętokrzyski Land by Jan Maćkowiak at the Regional Science-Technology Centre (RCNT) headquarters.
Ministers, Vice-Ministers, and Directors responsible for industrial development in the countries such as: South Africa, Angola, Bhutan, Brazil, China, Ecuador, Guatemala, India, Iraq, Jamaica, Yemen, Columbia, South Korea, Costa Rica, Lao, Lesotho, Malesia, Pakistan, Peru, Saint Lucia, Samoa, Sudan, East Timor, Tunisia, and Vietnam got acquainted with the support instruments offered mainly to SME by the Special Economic Zone in Starachowice, Regional Science-Technology Centre in Chęciny and Kielce Technology Park.
The visits to Promet S.A. company in Starachowice and Vive Textile Recycling in Kielce also raised great interest among the decision-makers. Moreover, the participants had a chance to visit Biobank in Chęciny.
