The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the resources of national and local state administration and institutions for implementation and monitoring of waste management policy in order to comply with EU environmental acquis.

Waste management policy expert will act as Team Leader and shall be in charge of the total management of the project, as well as all necessary activities for the Result 1; including but not limited to, contract management, coordination of experts so as to ensure that the inputs of experts are available at the time when they are required, allocation of tasks within the team, liaison with the counterparts, financial management and reporting and other tasks as required. Waste management policy expert must have the below qualifications:

Qualifications and skills
- University degree in engineering, environmental sciences or in another field relevant to the assignment or in the absence of university degree an additional 4 years of relevant professional experience above the general professional experience;
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written;
- Excellent computer literacy;
- Excellent communication skills.

General professional experience
- Minimum 8 years of professional working experience in strategic documents related to waste management preparation and/or implementation in the EU and accession countries.

Specific professional experience
- Experience in at least 3 projects dealing with strategic/national level in waste management in the EU and accession counties;
- Minimum 1 contract completed during the past 5 years as a Team Leader in successfully leading, managing and mobilising diverse sector team of experts, delivering tasks on time/under budget.
- Experience in interaction with government and other stakeholders.
